Wild Quinine seed (Parthenium integrifolium) Pre-treatment

In your catalog it states that special treatment is required for wild quinine seed. What special treatment are you talking about?

Wild Quinine seeds need to be moistened and then exposed to oscillating cold temperatures to break dormancy.
The easiest way to do this is to plant them in a flat in the fall and bury the flat up to its rim in the soil out of doors. Mulch it heavily and leave it there until the spring. If this is not possible, you can put the seeds into moist peatmoss, vermiculite or perlite, pop into a plastic bag fold the bag opening to close it loosely and put the bag into the crisper of a fridge and leave there for 6 to 12 months or until the seeds germinate.
