Sagebrush Seed Germination

I ordered some sagebrush seeds from you. I planted them about 6 weeks ago and nothing came up . I used clean potting soil. Do you have any ideas as to why they did not take ? Today I ordered more seeds to try again.

Very fresh seed must be dry stored at room temperature for 6 months before it will germinate.
Since most Artemesias germinate in the absence of light, cover your seedbed with black plastic and keep the seed bed at about 70 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) or warmer. The seeds should come up in about two weeks. The germination is about 30 to 40%.
This plant grows in any type of soil except clay, it likes the pH to be slightly acid to alkaline. The soil should be moist to wet and once established the plant tolerates periodic flooding.
This shrub is hardy in zones 3 to 5 and grows in sun.
