Freezing Basil

Just want to know if I can freeze basil leaves.

Yes, definitely. Basil is sometimes hard to dry because the leaves, especially of the large-leaf types such as Genovese, can turn black if drying is not done properly.
Chop or mince the leaves, removing the stems first. Place the basil in an ice tray and fill with water. When frozen store basil ice cubes in a plastic bag or sealable plastic box.
It is easy to use basil preserved this way: just throw an ice cube or two in your dish as needed. The flavour is excellent, and so is the colour; and best of all is the convenience of using fresh frozen basil whenever you want throughout the winter.
